Luis Suarez got off to an inauspicious start with Inter Miami, but he quickly put rumors of his demise to rest on Saturday.
Facing Orlando City at home, Suarez combined with Julian Gressel to notch his first goal with the club in the 4th minute of the game. It was exactly the type of start Miami needed after drawing with Los Angeles Galaxy last Sunday.
Luis Suarez bags brace in 11 minutes vs Orlando City
Only seven minutes later, Suarez added his second, scoring a brace within the first 11 minutes of the game. The second was also assisted by Gressel. It was a beautiful combination between the two.
Suarez has been criticized early into his Miami career due to a lack of mobility up top. The 37-year-old has struggled with knee issues for the past few years, but he can certainly still get it done with sheer talent and technique.
To cap off an incredible first half, Suarez assisted on Miami’s third goal, feeding a wide open Robert Taylor in the box. It was a dominant opening half from Miami, with Lionel Messi showcasing his elite dribbling and passing ability consistently as well.
